Our Worship Service
Singing, Prayer, Fellowship, & Teaching
We start our services off with Praise & Worship. The songs are engaging and uplifting. Please free free to join in, stand, clap, sing, and enjoy.
At the conclusion of our Praise & Worship, everyone stands for Corporate Prayer. Corporate prayer is simply a term used to describe praying together with other people. Corporate prayer is an important part of the life of the church. Acts 2:42 tells us that the early church gathered often to pray together.
During our Sunday Worship Service, attendees have the opportunity to support the work of our church through their financial donations. If you wish to give online, you may do so here.
We dedicate a portion of our Sunday Worship Service to Biblical teaching. We strive to make the lessons interesting and relevant to your life. At the end of the sermon an invitation will be given for anyone who may have a need to come forward to receive prayer or to give their life to Christ.

Frequently Asked Questions
What style of worship can I expect?
Our worship style is engaging and enjoyable, both in the music we play and the Biblical teaching we provide. Contemporary and traditional christian & gospel songs are sung, by our Praise & Worship team. The worship service includes daily affirmations, announcements of up-and-coming events, and relevant Biblical teaching.
What is the focus of HOLA’s Praise & Worship?
Praise is thanking God for what He has done. Worship is thanking God for who He is. We believe Praise & Worship prepares the heart to receive God’s Word. We also believe praise and a joyful heart bring about deliverance. Therefore, our focus is on recognizing the “what” and the “who” of God, so our heart is glad and we enter a place where deliverance and growth can occur.
What is the attire?
We are a “come as you are” church. We believe God is more concerned about your heart than your clothes. We do not want anyone left out because they think they have to dress up. Wear what you have and let us show you how God’s love is not about what you have on, but is more about what you have “in!”
What’s the average age in this church?
We do not have an average age and we hope we never do. We welcome everyone, regardless of age. We welcome college students, those who are adulting, those who were raised in the church, those who were not raised in the church, and those who desire a relationship with Christ. Age is just a number, but at the House of Light you will never be!
If you want a relationship with God, as opposed to just going through the motions, this is where you want to be! If you have experienced “church hurt” or “heart hurt,” this is where you want to be. Welcome to The House, where you can experience hope, healing, and help. This is where YOU belong!
How can I give to your church?
During our Sunday Worship Service, attendees have the opportunity to support the work of the church through their financial donations. Donations are accepted via Text2Give (text HOLA to 980.400.7085), Online, cash, or check (made payable to House of Light Church).
If you are a guest, you are under no obligation to make a donation and please do not feel pressured to do so. You are in a “no judgment zone.”
What do I do with my children?
Camp 1914 is where children, ages 5 – 12, can go during our worship service to get away and have fun (arts and crafts, coloring, reading, games, and videos). We have a place for you children to go, have fun, learn about their relationship with Christ, and give you a break. The only thing we are missing is your children!
How long do the services last?
Our services begin at 10 am and generally end about noon. However, once service is over, we are not responsible for how long after service you hang out, laugh, and talk with the friends you will make once you start attending.
What kind of sermons can I expect?
Our sermons are based on providing relevant lessons for living in today’s world. The sermons are grounded in Biblical principles and do not require a degree in theology to understand. Sermons focus on translating the Word of God into how His principles apply to, and can help with, issues experienced in your everyday life. Sermons generally last between 30 – 45 minutes.
What is your denomination?
We are non-denominational. We refuse to accept anything that separates, is divisive, or keeps people at odds. We believe heaven will have people from various religious backgrounds, belief systems, and theologies. We do not believe any one denomination, or church, has exclusive rights and access to Christ. We are all working to be better today than we were yesterday.
